* Creating increased powers of anticipation and planning

* Educating drivers about the rules of the road

These points offer a general overview; some may be more relevant to certain drivers, while others might not. This emphasises the customised nature of our training.

Duration Overview – What’s Ideal For You?

Our courses are split into 3.5-hour sessions. While some opt for 7-hour sessions, they can be hard for some drivers who are perhaps not used to driving for such a long time.

One of the most popular session formats is the 2 x 3.5hr sessions, especially for private clients as it allows time in between each session to absorb what has been covered. We also offer 3,4, and 5 x 3.5hr sessions. These tend to be suited to those who have very specific confidence issues or who have not driven in a long time. If you are unsure what course is best, you can opt for one or two 3.5hr sessions and then book more on a pro-rata rate if needed.

Road Safety – Risks and Hazards in Burgess Hill

While there isn’t an official list of the most dangerous roads in Burgess Hill, based on reports of accidents and traffic-related incidents, some of the roads in and around the town are known to have higher risks for drivers. These include:

  1. A273 – The main road running through the town, particularly around busy intersections and junctions, can experience heavy traffic, contributing to higher accident risk, especially during peak hours.
  2. A2300 – This road, connecting Burgess Hill to the A23 and M23, has seen a number of accidents, particularly at junctions where vehicles merge or turn onto busy roads.
  3. London Road (A273) – Particularly near the town centre, the road can be hazardous with its mix of local traffic, pedestrians, and cyclists. The traffic often builds up in this area, leading to potential accidents.
  4. Keymer Road – Close to residential areas, the road can be risky due to heavy traffic, narrow lanes, and junctions where vehicles may suddenly stop or turn.
  5. Ditchling Common Road – The road is narrow, and while it connects to countryside areas, it can be dangerous due to reduced visibility, sharp bends, and the occasional presence of farm vehicles.

Please note, the information above is based on general observations of roads with reported traffic issues. For exact statistics or accident data, local authorities or the Highways Agency may provide detailed reports. Always drive cautiously and be aware of local traffic conditions.
