We offer a bespoke UK Familiarisation Driving Course for drivers who are new to the UK. We can provide either a half-day (3.5hr) or a full-day (7hr) session for drivers of all ages and abilities.

About our UK Familiarisation Driving Course.

We can arrange a course from anywhere in the UK. For more information, please call us or email us.

We can arrange a UK familiarisation driving course usually with a 10 days notice with training that can start from your office or any other location you prefer. We can also train drivers on a Saturday if required.

During the course, you will learn:

1. The rules and regulations you need to know as a driver in the UK
2. The customs and etiquette of British driving
3. Introduction and overview of motorway driving
4. How to deal with roundabouts and road traffic lights
5. Common problems new to UK drivers face
6. How to drive on a range of UK roads – safely

Training is usually based in the driver’s own car or van. The course is ideal to help identify and remove any “at-risk” elements to someone’s driving, to make sure they are not only more aware of what’s needed for safer driving in the UK, but they will also learn advanced/defensive driving skills such as:

1. Forward planning and observation
2. Speed awareness – especially if they come from a country where speed isn’t enforced like it is in the UK.
3. Understanding other road users
4. Dealing with safer driving on motorways
5. Dealing with busy junctions and roundabouts – where a lot of foreign drivers experience issues.

Many drivers new to the UK are anxious about driving – we can help them develop their confidence at their pace.

Durations:

We offer a 3.5hr and 7hr sessions. We come to you, and the training will take place in your own car or van.
