Reports After Training:

Each client taking driver training with us will receive a detailed driving report a few days after training. This gives a very insightful look into what was covered on the day, how the driver improved, and to what extent and in what areas. This is very important as it lets you know a driver’s skill and competency level and what they also need to work on. We take report authentication seriously, which is why each report we produce is fully documented and has its own unique verification number so that you can check back for an original copy with us. This is useful if an employer has asked an employee to take driver training.

The large urban junctions where the M3, A34, and A272 meet offer perfect opportunities to build confidence on fast, high-capacity roads. In addition, the area features plenty of quieter B-roads, providing varied conditions to develop skills for safe rural driving.

Our driver training sessions in Winchester cover neighbourhoods including Abbotts Barton, Chilcomb, Twyford, Standon, and Littleton. All our tutors are DVSA-registered and specialise in delivering tailored coaching for full licence holders who wish to enhance their driving ability and confidence.

All training is in your own vehicle, and for your convenience, we’ll come directly to your chosen address. All training is conducted on public roads, ensuring that the skills you develop apply directly to real-world driving situations.

Our courses do vary in structure, although we have several courses based and cost on duration:

3.5hr session
7hr session (which can be split between two drivers)
2 x 3.5hr sessions
3 x 3.5hr sessions – We also have longer courses if needed.

The 7hr session, as mentioned above, can be split between two drivers, which is time and cost-efficient. One driver will be trained in the morning, usually from 9 am to 12:30, and then the second driver in the afternoon, usually from 13:00 to 16:30. We can be flexible on start times. Each driver has 3.5hr on-road training.

Longer Duration Courses:

Our bespoke 3,4, and 5 x 3.5hr sessions are suited to those with specific driving issues. These issues include driving anxiety, motorway confidence, a fear of driving in new areas after an accident to regain confidence or those that have not driven in a long time.

The longer duration courses are booked mainly by private individuals, although they are also open to our business customers.

Those who commit to these longer courses see change happen over the weeks as they build confidence and address the specific issues they may be facing.

Training large numbers of drivers requires extra planning, but we have many years of experience managing large, often complex driver training sessions, which involve multiple start locations and hectic diaries.

Road Safety Risks and Information – Winchester

The City of Winchester is located in Hampshire and is served by the M3 to the east. Several fast A-road routes, such as the A31 and the A390, also serve the area.

The M3 skirts the eastern edge of Winchester, and at junction 11, the intersection joins Hockley Link to St Cross Road and the City centre. This intersection is particularly hazardous with numerous collision sites on the intersection and slip roads, but the entire stretch of the M3 Motorway between junctions 12 and 9 also has higher than average crash sites noted. It is vital to have your wits about you when you are using fast, busy motorways, especially near the junction areas, as accidents can occur with other drivers struggling with directions and making silly fast moves across lanes. Junction 10 links the A31 and Bar End Road and directly into the city centre; this is a challenging double roundabout, and numerous accidents are noted, suggesting that poor lane exiting may have been to blame. If you can see a driver hesitant and struggling near such junctions, holding back and giving them space to manoeuvre rather than try to overtake and risk a collision is wise.

Much of the Winchester Centre is pedestrianised, but the surrounding streets are littered with accident sites; some have been severe, and sadly, a few have been fatal. The B3330 travels across the northern edge of the city centre, and at the Jewry Street traffic lights, you can travel into the centre.
