Location Overview – Surrey is mainly rural, and several significant urban areas form part of Greater London. With a population of over 1.2 million people, Surrey is the 12th most populated county in the UK. The mainly populated town in Surrey is Woking, followed by Guildford.
The county is divided into 11 districts with borough status. Greater London borders Surrey to the northeast, Kent to the east, Berkshire to the northwest, West Sussex to the south, East Sussex to the southeast, and Hampshire to the west. Much of Surrey is within the Metropolitan Green Belt and contains valued reserves of mature woodland.
Among its notable beauty spots are Leith Hill, Box Hill, Frensham Ponds, and Newlands Corner, with Puttenham and Crooksbury Commons. We have carried out advanced driver training throughout Surrey and the surrounding towns and villages, including Farnham, Egham, Kingston on Thames, Epsom, and Caterham.
We offer a range of bespoke courses, which include:
* UK Familiarisation
* Motorway training
* Performance training
* Younger drivers
* Pre-court assessments
* General advanced and defensive courses
* Confidence training
All courses are created around the needs and requirements of the individual driver, but below are several things we look at:
* Understand your own limitations and at-risk factors – most of which you won’t be aware of
* Working towards an expert level of forward planning and observation
* Manoeuvres and reversing (This is often requested in confidence training)
* Undoing years of ingrained bad habits
* The system of car control – IPSGA
* Understanding observational elements of driving (seeing) and building these into your driving plan
* How to become a safe driver on urban and rural roads and also motorways
* How to deal with complex and busy traffic environments
* How to understand other drivers and what they may do next
* Learn how you and other drivers think when behind the wheel
* Learning to manage speed and become more speed aware
You will be issued a driving report after each session – sent by email. This report is fully documented with us and has a unique verification number attached – proof you’ve had training with a qualified professional. In your report, you will be able to see how you improved and in what areas, along with some valuable tips to make sure you keep up your improved standard of driving.
Key learning points of our driver training:
* Work on any issues which could be impacting your level of skill and safety
* Demonstrate your intention to become a safer, improved driver
* Become a much improved, more skilful motorist
* Deal with and address issues which may have been holding you back
Training is a little different for commercial clients – the end client, the person who has the on-road training, is often not the person who decides to do the training.
While we help the driver to improve, from a commercial perspective, your business will benefit from the following:
* Providing the opportunity for an employee to develop
* Lower fuel costs
* Potentially lower your fleet insurance costs
* Demonstrating your businesses Duty of Care
* Showing you care
We have delivered outstanding advanced driver training across Surrey and with the great networks of roads, including the southwest M25 from Egham to Oxted, with the M3 taking you through to Winchester and the A3 to Portsmouth. Our tutors are all highly qualified and experienced, with lots of local knowledge in and around Surrey. Our tutors will come to you and take you out in your own car or van. Surrey has a good mix of urban and rural roads, so when you do a driving course with us, we can provide training on all roads – unlike other areas, you don’t need to drive that far to be on a motorway or rural road alike. This means we can cover a lot of road types in a session if needed.
Course Duration
We offer full or half-day training options. We also provide multiple half-day options for those that need a more in-depth training course.
3.5hr – Popular with business clients who want to reduce the time employees are away from their duties. Also ideal as a refresher or toe-in-water for a private client who may want to go on and book more sessions.
7hr – Designed for drivers with specific issues which need addressing, such as a lack of confidence, complaints from the public, high collision rate, or if they are moving from a car to a large van and need professional training to make the jump safely. The 7hr session can be split between two drivers, which is time and cost-efficient. One driver will be trained from 09:00 to 12:30, then the second from 13:00 to 16:30 (we can be flexible on start times). Each driver has 3.5hr each.
It tends to be private clients who opt for multiple 3.5hr sessions as they come to us with particular issues they may have, where a one-to-one training course over days or weeks is best suited to help them. Whether you are a private client or a business customer, we can build a course based on your specific needs and requirements anywhere in the UK.

Key Roads in Surrey – Surrey is a county which has a wide range of roads; here are a few with notable risks – many of these are covered during our driving courses in the county:
The M25 is one of the most important roads in Surrey and the UK’s busiest motorway. It forms a circular route around London, and several key parts of Surrey are located close to or along the motorway. The M25 passes through Surrey between Junctions 10 (Wisley Interchange) and Junctions 15 (Thames Ditton). It connects the county to major roads such as the M3, M4, and M23 and offers access to airports like London Heathrow and London Gatwick.
Notable Hazards: The M25 can experience significant congestion, especially during rush hours, as it’s a vital transport route for both commuter and long-distance traffic.
The M3 connects Surrey with Hampshire and is a primary route for drivers travelling from London to the South Coast. In Surrey, the M3 begins at Junction 1 (Sunbury) and heads south, passing through areas such as Farnborough and Fleet before continuing toward the coast. The motorway is heavily used by commuters travelling into London.
Notable Hazards: Can be heavily congested during peak hours, particularly at junctions like Junction 1 (M25 interchange).
The A3 is a major north-south road that runs from London through Surrey and towards the South Coast. In Surrey, the A3 passes through Guildford, Farnham, and Godalming, with scenic stretches through Surrey Hills. The A3 is a key route for drivers heading to and from London and the South Coast.
Notable Hazards: While much of the A3 is a dual carriageway, there are sections with tight bends, especially through Guildford, and congestion can occur during rush hours.
The A217 connects London to the M25 and Reigate in Surrey. It is a busy road that runs through suburban areas, particularly around Sutton, Epsom, and Reigate, and is often used as an alternative to the M25 for accessing these towns.
Notable Hazards: Traffic congestion is common, especially during rush hours, and there are frequent traffic lights in built-up areas.
